While the purchase of a property offered for sale through a trust may look just like a “normal” real estate transaction, it is subject to the standards established by the Probate Code.
To assure that they meet the terms and deadlines and complete their transaction without surprises, buyers are advised to work with a sales professional who is experienced in trust sales.
Real property often comprises the bulk of an individual’s estate, whether it’s a family home or an investment property. The sale of real property through probate should, of course, be managed to the maximum benefit of the heirs even as it protects the heirs and the interests of the decedent. California Probate Code is very specific in its instructions to both sellers and buyers.
